When ordering, remove the existing balance, measure the metal channel's length (excluding guides), and ensure measurements are in full inches. Note that some manufacturers use special 1/2" increment lengths, which can be special ordered. Locate the stamped or etched number on the balance's back, which could be four numbers or two numbers and a letter. Use this number to find the corresponding CRL catalog number. The catalog number's first two digits do not represent the channel's length.
