Dimocarpus Longan Leaf Litter

The leaves of the Dimocarpus longan plant are a tragically underutilized leaf in the botanical aquarium hobby. They are closely related to lychee and rambutan, and the look of the leaves is similar to a cross between a guava and live oak. Our leaves are brown to pale green in appearance and function quite similarly to all of our other leaf litter. They contain antifungal and antibacterial properties which can benefit the aquarium, but we love them for their durable long-lasting nature. A mixture of whole leaves and fruit stems will be included, giving you a nice leaf litter for any botanical aquarium or terrarium/paludarium setup you might want to utilize them in. This bag and its contents are biodegradable! Did you know our product packaging is made from renewable and sustainable sugarcane? So just like the botanicals inside, it will compost when returned to nature.
